Kelly Armstrong, a long-time resident of South Lake County, boasts over 25 years of family ties to the area. Known for her remarkable leadership and empathetic approach, Kelly has a knack for fostering community change through relationship-building. As a project manager, she has substantial experience in organizational development, management, and training. Notably, she was part of the construction management team for Universal’s Epic Universe theme park in Central Florida. When she isn’t busy with work, Kelly enjoys family adventures, traveling, trivia nights, and restoring her historic home in downtown Clermont. Her deep roots and commitment to the community make her a perfect fit for the board.

Mike Radzik’s Community Commitment

In contrast, Mike Radzik has been a solid pillar in Groveland, Florida, where he has made his home since 2004. First elected to the Groveland City Council in 2010, Mike has an impressive tenure that includes serving as Mayor and returning to the Council multiple times, currently representing District 2. His dedication spans over 15 years in local initiatives, including the establishment of a skate park and various youth-focused programs. Moreover, Mike is the Treasurer and a board member of TNC, which plays a crucial role in promoting food security and family stability in the area.

He is also the co-founder of Groveland Cares Inc., an initiative that provides free Thanksgiving dinners to residents in need. With a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, specializing in Governmental Accounting, Mike blends financial acumen with community service effectively. His experience and passion for outreach will be significant assets to the TNC board.

The strength of The Neighborhood Center of South Lake heavily relies on its dedicated volunteers. According to TNC, these generous individuals contributed over 16,000 hours in 2023 alone to assist food-insecure families. They engage in various activities, including picking up and sorting food, helping clients with groceries, and providing support services.
