On August 14, 2025, the equestrian community celebrated as Daniel Coyle of Ireland clinched victory at the $32,000 Opener CSI5* held at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, Ontario. Riding his trusted companion Farrel, a Dutch Warmblood gelding, Coyle completed the second phase of the challenge in 29.52 seconds. This outstanding performance not only highlighted Coyle’s skill but also symbolized a remarkable comeback for Farrel, who recently recovered from a stifle cyst. Coyle shared his pride in Farrel’s return to peak form after overcoming health setbacks.

The event featured a competitive lineup, with 26 riders from various countries participating. Canadian Erynn Ballard took the second spot with a solid performance on her horse, Her Game Ball BG, finishing in 30.41 seconds. Meanwhile, McLain Ward from the United States secured third place, clocking in at 30.49 seconds with Snapchat van de Broekkant Z.
