Exciting news is on the horizon for the music lovers in New York City and beyond! On September 12, 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m., Composers Concordance, in conjunction with Vox Novus, will present the „21st Century Solo Electric Guitar“ concert at Silvana, located at 300 W. 116th St. This captivating event is admission-free and promises an evening filled with innovative guitar compositions that you won’t want to miss.
Featured compositions include works from a diverse lineup of artists, such as Peter Jarvis, Jane Getter, Milica Paranosic, Gene Pritsker, David Shohl, and Robert Voisey. But that’s not all! The concert will also showcase pieces by winners of the Vox Novus Short Guitar Compositions Competition, including Nantenaina Andriamorasata from Madagascar and Rodrigo Baggio from Brazil, adding an international flair to the evening. Audiences can look forward to standout performances, including Getter’s „Extreme Whisper,“ performed as a duet with Pritsker, and Paranosic’s „Duet for (One).“ Furthermore, two of Gene Pritsker’s „Ballades for guitar“ will also be featured, rounding out a thrilling program.
