Avelo Airlines Launches New Routes from Palm Beach: Fares from $57!

Avelo Airlines is making waves in Florida with the announcement of exciting new routes starting later this year. The carrier will expand its offerings from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) to Wilmington International Airport (ILM) and Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina. This seasonal service is slated to begin on December 24 and run through the spring, just in time for vacationing families and winter travelers.

Beginning October 23, flights between PBI and Charlotte will operate four times per week, specifically on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. If you’re more inclined towards coastal adventures, the flights to Wilmington will commence on November 20, delivering travelers there twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. For those dreaming of the sunny shores of Key West, Avelo will also introduce service from Key West International Airport (EYW) to Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut, beginning November 19, with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays. One-way fares start at a wallet-friendly $57, making it an attractive option for many! The Palm Beach Post reports that these additions bolster Avelo’s current roster of services, which already includes 12 airports in Florida, such as Daytona Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.

Comfort and Reliability in the Skies

Avelo Airlines operates a modern fleet of 22 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, offering ample seating capacity with the 737-700 accommodating 149 passengers and the 737-800 having room for up to 189 travelers. Adding to the attractiveness of these new routes is Avelo’s respectable on-time performance. Their performance rates derive from the U.S. Department of Transportation standard, reflecting the percentage of flights arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. With lower cancellation rates compared to industry averages, Avelo shows a commitment to dependability, though travelers should remain aware that flight schedules can change without advance notice. Avelo emphasizes its reliability with transparency regarding additional fees and charges that may apply, keeping customers prepared for a smooth journey.

Feeling adventurous? How about taking advantage of their current promotional fares? Avelo is rolling out a SUMMER40 promo code that grants a generous 40% off one-way and round-trip bookings for travel from August 13 to November 21, with certain blackout dates. However, be mindful of the $25 charge per seated traveler when making bookings via Avelo’s Customer Support Center, as well as potential fees for carry-on and checked bags.

Looking Ahead in Aviation

The new routes come amid a backdrop of change in the aviation industry. Other airlines, including Delta, United, JetBlue, and Southwest, are also reshaping their service offerings this year. Avelo has not been without its controversies, facing protests due to its contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding deportation flights. This situation hasn’t dampened the airline’s ambitions as they strive to expand their network and offer competitive service to their customers.

As patronage for air travel picks up, Avelo Airlines appears poised to become a major player in Florida’s airline market, offering travelers not just a way to reach their destinations, but also new experiences worth exploring. With attractive fares and new destinations on the horizon, there’s certainly something to be said for the fresh air that Avelo is bringing to the Sunshine State.
