This vibrant festival celebrates Black culture and community with a series of events scheduled from July 25-28, 2025. The Miami Takeover has become a mainstay in the Miami cultural scene, known for producing events that resonate with Black cultural tastemakers and enthusiasts across the country. Founded by HBCU graduates Wylie Kynard, Antwoine McCoy, and Vincent Peden, this year marks the festival’s 17th annual celebration, emphasizing community and cultural enrichment.

The festival kicks off on Friday, July 25, with a variety of activities aimed at bringing people together. Starting the day is the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Community Service Kickoff Event, offering dental screenings for children under 12. Then, attendees can join the Miami Meet & Greet Splashdown at Z Ocean Hotel from 2 PM to 7 PM, featuring food, music, and networking opportunities.

Later that evening, the Miami Nights All-White Party will take place at The Urban, promising a night of fun with live DJ sets featuring hip-hop, R&B, and go-go music.
