Orange County, USA - On May 18, 2025, the roar of vintage and modern classic motorcycles filled the streets as the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) made headlines globally, raising an impressive US$7.6 million (A$11.66M) for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research. This year, over 127,000 riders participated in the event, showcasing a grand tapestry of dapper style and camaraderie across 1,038 cities in 108 countries. With its roots tracing back to 2012 in Sydney, the ride has blossomed into the world’s largest charity event for motorcycle enthusiasts.

This year, Team Triumph, representing the iconic motorcycle brand, participated with 491 riders, collectively raising US$130,000 (A$199,480) for Movember, the organization behind the DGR initiative. Notable luminaries graced the event, with stunt coordinator Lee Morrison and four-time World Enduro Champion Paul Edmondson riding their Triumphs proudly.

Fundraising Triumphs

The fundraising efforts were nothing short of spectacular. The top fundraiser for 2025 was Canadian Joseph Mancinelli, who managed to raise a staggering US$62,624.75 (A$96,084) in Hamilton, Ontario. His incredible dedication has resulted in a cumulative total of US$550,000 raised since he began participating in 2017. Following closely were Andrew Cook from Idaho, who raised US$56,640 (A$86,906), and Floridian Nick Politis with a contribution of US$46,999 (A$72,114) to the worthy cause.

In Australia, a total of 5,152 riders participated, collectively raising US$573,038 (A$879,109) to secure the third-highest fundraising position globally. Sydney led the pack among Australian cities, with contributions of US$85,946 (A$131,897) coming from 584 riders.

Participants dressed to the nines, donning stylish suits and vintage attire as they took to the roads to raise awareness for men’s health issues. The Gentlefolk Prize winner for this year, Joseph Mannion from Manchester, UK, was recognized for his commitment, receiving a Bonneville Bobber for completing DGR badges for participation and fundraising.
