Cape Coral, Florida, USA - As the Fourth of July approaches, Cape Coral gears up for what promises to be the largest Independence Day celebration in Southwest Florida. Tens of thousands are expected to gather for the “Red, White & BOOM!” event, with activities planned for July 4th. As Laura Kurkimilis, a city spokesperson, puts it, this celebration is an important tradition that brings family and friends together.

The main attraction is the “American Fireworks Spectacular,” where a dazzling display of over 4,000 fireworks shells will light up the night sky, starting at 9:30 p.m. This year, the event will feature synchronized music enhancing the overall experience. Apart from the fireworks, the evening will be filled with live entertainment, kicking off at 5 p.m.

Entertainment Highlights

Set to groove the crowd, DJ Rifik takes the stage at 5:15 p.m. Following him, Brendan Walter will perform at 6:30 p.m., leading up to national headliner George Birge at 8 p.m. If you’re a fan of country music, you won’t want to miss Birge, who is famous for his engaging lyrics and performances. In a patriotic touch, the national anthem will be performed by Mikalay Williams at 9:25 p.m., just before the fireworks commence.

For those seeking a full day of family-friendly fun, the festivities include a free “Boom Bus” operating from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for convenient transport to and from the event. Parking will be available at select locations such as Club Square and Big John’s Plaza. However, be aware that the Cape Coral Bridge will be closed from 3 a.m. on July 4th until 3 a.m. on July 5th, prompting motorists to consider alternate routes like the Midpoint Memorial Bridge.
