EBRO S400: The Game-Changer Hybrid SUV Set to Dominate Spain's Market!

As the automotive landscape rapidly evolves, creating vehicles that are not only practical but environmentally friendly is becoming increasingly critical. The freshly unveiled EBRO s400 hybrid SUV aims to do just that, marking a significant new entry into the saturated market of compact SUVs. Todo Alicante reports that this latest model is the third in the EBRO series, following the successful launches of the s700 and s800.
Initial manufacturing tests commenced at EBRO’s facility in Barcelona, with the pre-production phase focusing on refining assembly processes and gauging market demand for this ambitious new offering. The hybrid propulsion system combines a 1.5 DHE combustion engine with a 150 kW electric motor, collectively delivering 155 kW (or 211 hp). Quite impressively, the vehicle can reach 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, all while boasting a fuel consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 km and emissions below 120 g CO₂ per km, pending final homologation.
Designed for Comfort and Functionality
Measuring 4.32 meters in length, the s400 is designed to comfortably fit in the A0 SUV segment. Not only does the exterior feature a robust design with sharp lines and modern LED optics, but the interior also offers a range of high-tech comforts. According to the latest insights from El Economista, the s400 showcases a dual 12.3-inch digital dashboard, dual-zone climate control, and heated bucket seats, accommodating up to 1,155 liters of cargo with the rear seats down.
Furthermore, the vehicle is loaded with 24 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, blind spot warnings, and even a fatigue detector. Those who crave connectivity will appreciate the wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control, and a comprehensive digital services suite.
Affordability and Financing Options
Affordability is crucial as well, and the EBRO s400 does not disappoint. The price starts at €27,490, but with promotional pricing, it can dip below €23,500, making it a competitive option in the eco-friendly market. Additional financing options, including the EBRO Flex plan, provide flexibility with an initial payment of €9,738 and monthly payments of €149 over four years. A final payment of €14,900 allows buyers to retain ownership.
As Pedro Calef, CEO of EBRO Motors, noted, this pre-production phase will be vital for ensuring safe and quality vehicle production standards. The production strategy is heavily focused on achieving a 100% national assembly model, which is supported by the Montcada i Reixach plant for metal body structures. The industrial plan outlines a progressive expansion through 2025, echoing the ambitions of a company poised to make a significant mark not just locally but on the international automotive stage.
With the EBRO s400, it seems there’s a lot to look forward to in the realm of eco-friendly vehicles, especially for those who want to traverse the roads with confidence and respect for the environment. As production gears up for a full commercial launch, it would seem that EBRO is set to take the compact SUV market by storm.
