Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33617, USA - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Wheelchair Football Team is gearing up for an exciting season with open tryouts scheduled for Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Lesley “Les” Miller, Jr. All People’s Community Park & Life Center, located at 6105 E. Sligh Ave., Tampa, FL 33617. As part of the USA Wheelchair Football League, this team is on the lookout for passionate players who have physical disabilities and a drive to compete.

Not only do the tryouts offer a chance for new athletes to join the ranks, but they also mark the beginning of a national quest for the Buccaneers Wheelchair Football Team. Their journey includes participation in several league competitions throughout the season, including a major tournament in Tampa set for September 27-28 at the Tampa Convention Center. Player Eligibility and Requirements

The team is open to dedicated athletes aged 18 and older, with a few essential requirements. Prospective players must have a permanent physical disability affecting their lower limb function and need to provide verifiable medical documentation. Importantly, players will need an elite performance sport wheelchair; the team will assist those who need help obtaining one. Participation in all USA Wheelchair Football League competitions is mandatory, and team travel expenses will be covered while players commit to attending practices at least once a week from June 24 to November 1.
