Beloved Matriarch Gloria Ann Lombardozzi Passes at 90, Leaving Legacy

Chester, Ohio, USA - Gloria Ann Lombardozzi, a beloved matriarch and skilled cook, passed away on June 7, 2025, at the age of 90. She spent her final days at Stone Pear Pavilion in Chester, where her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their compassionate care. Gloria was born on December 18, 1934, in Salineville, Ohio, to Ralph and Josephine (Marraccini) Girone, showcasing the deep Italian roots from which she hailed.

A graduate of Salineville High School in 1952, Gloria’s life was marked by her marriage to John Lombardozzi on April 25, 1953. Together, they raised six children in Wellsville, Ohio, fostering a family environment rich in Italian traditions and values. Their bond lasted 46 years until John’s passing on December 13, 1999.

Family and Community Connections

Gloria’s legacy lives on through her children: John (Cindy) Lombardozzi Jr., Robert Lombardozzi, Nick (Peggy) Lombardozzi, Jeff Lombardozzi, Jason (Nikki) Lombardozzi, and daughter Christy (Lee) Mott. She leaves behind an impressive lineage of 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and generosity.

Gloria’s funeral will take place on June 13, 2025, with a Catholic Funeral Liturgy planned at Sacred Heart Church, presided over by Fr. Bill Matheny, followed by burial at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. Family visitation will occur the day prior, on June 12, 2025, at Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville.
