Atlanta, GA, USA - The excitement is building as the Florida Gators prepare for this year’s SEC Media Days. DJ Lagway, Jake Slaughter, and Caleb Banks will proudly represent the team at the event, which is set to take place from July 14-17 at the iconic College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Atlanta Hotel in Atlanta, GA. This significant gathering brings together SEC programs to discuss their teams and future seasons, and Florida’s media day is scheduled for July 16 at 1 p.m. ET, sharing the stage with Alabama, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma. As On3 reports, this will mark the third occasion since 2018 that Atlanta has hosted SEC Media Days, with previous years taking place in Dallas and Nashville.

The Gators are sending some heavy hitters to Atlanta this year. DJ Lagway, having made a splash as a Freshman All-American, threw for 1,915 yards and 12 touchdowns while maintaining a pristine 6-0 record as a starter. His impressive performance last season has Gator fans buzzing with anticipation for what he will bring to the field next. Meanwhile, Jake Slaughter’s accolades don’t fall short either. He was an AP All-American First Team selection and led SEC centers with a remarkable PFF grade of 82.0, the highest among returning interior linemen in 2025.
