Madison, USA - Exciting news coming out of Bulloch County Schools: a remarkable 27 students have qualified for national competitions across various student technical organizations this summer. These bright individuals will have the chance to showcase their skills on bigger stages as they compete at both state and national levels.

The students’ achievements stem from their participation in a robust College & Career Program, which incorporates six crucial organizations, including the National FFA Organization, SkillsUSA, and the Future Business Leaders of America. This initiative covers 35 Career Technical & Agricultural Education pathways and has established chapters in all three high schools and two middle schools throughout Bulloch County. The emphasis on hands-on experience helps prepare students for whatever comes next—whether that be enrollment in higher education, military service, or entering the workforce.

A Bright Future through FCCLA

Among the notable competitions is the National Leadership Conference of Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Established in 1945, this nonprofit organization plays an instrumental role in providing Family and Consumer Sciences education for students in both public and private schools from kindergarten through to grade 12. With over 182,000 active members in more than 5,253 chapters across 48 states, including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, FCCLA addresses various youth concerns, including nutrition, teen pregnancy, and substance abuse, fostering essential leadership skills along the way. This mission aligns perfectly with FCCLA’s central focus on strengthening the family unit in society—certainly a noble pursuit in today’s world.
