Tampa, FL, USA - The Greater Venice Florida Dog Club held its much-anticipated event in Tampa on June 11, 2025, showcasing the talents of 1237 canines. With excitement buzzing in the air, the day was all about celebrating purebred excellence as breeds from around the country competed for top honors. One standout was the Papillon, GCHP Riesa N Passionpap’s Locked And Loaded, who claimed the coveted Best In Show title, judged by the renowned Adrian Landarte.

This year’s significant turnout featured various breeds, each with its own unique flair. The event also reported a stunning number of entries—a testament to the area’s vibrant dog community. Announcing this year’s victor was the talented handler Brian Livingston, and the proud owners included M Mosing, L Foiles, and D & D Kelly.

Reserves and Excellent Performances

Securing the Reserve Best In Show was GCHG Carmel Mr. Joe Adamis, a Miniature Schnauzer expertly handled by Jorge Olivera. With such fierce competition, it’s clear that the participants had a good hand in grooming their dogs not just for beauty, but for showmanship as well.

The sporting group also saw impressive entrants. Judged by Mr. Gary L. Andersen, the top prize went to CH Contigo’s Lemon Meringue Pie, a Golden Retriever, followed by notable performances from a Cocker Spaniel and a Flat-Coated Retriever. The atmosphere was electric with spectators cheering for their favorites as the groups were showcased one after the other.

A Range of Breeds

The passion for canine competition was delightfully evident across other categories as well. The Hound Group saw GCHG Pinnacle Garden Party, a Whippet, take the lead, while the Working Group favored GCHP Eb The Relentless Pursuit Of Perfection, a stately Great Dane. Throughout the day, judges carefully evaluated the dogs not just on appearance, but temperament and adherence to breed standards.

Meanwhile, the Toy Group was led by the Papillon, GCHP Riesa N Passionpap’s Locked And Loaded, once again proving the breed’s charisma. The Non-Sporting Group champion was GCHG Ta Sen Westgate Jingle Juice, a Lhasa Apso, adding to the variety of winning breeds.

The Terrier and Herding Groups also boasted strong entries that delighted fans and judges alike. The last day’s outcomes mirrored the competitive spirit witnessed at larger events such as the National Dog Show. Notably, one cannot forget Vito the Pug, who recently stole the spotlight at that event, winning Best in Show for the first time in twenty years for his breed, racking up an impressive total of 25 best-in-show titles in his young career.Bleacher Report highlights how Vito’s journey resonates with dog lovers everywhere and reminds us of the joy these events bring to both participants and spectators.
