Meanwhile, Melbourne, the No. 3 seed in Class 6A, also secured a win, defeating Horizon (No. 6 seed) 4-2. Bryce Conner was the star of the game with three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. Clay MacConnell and Sean Gates combined for a solid pitching performance, allowing just two runs and striking out a total of seven batters. Up next for Melbourne is a matchup against Lake Minneola.
