Today is the 12th of March, 2026, and Marion County is reeling from a tragic accident that has claimed the life of a 76-year-old man. The incident occurred Wednesday evening, just after 7:30 PM, in Dunnellon, Florida. The elderly man was driving southbound on State Road 200 when the accident unfolded.

According to reports, a 37-year-old woman was traveling north on the same road, followed closely by an 85-year-old man. In a sudden turn of events, the 76-year-old veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with the vehicle of the 37-year-old. This caused both vehicles to spin, with the woman’s car ultimately overturning. The 85-year-old’s vehicle then crashed into the 76-year-old’s car.
