As of March 2026, phosphorus concentrations have dropped by 66%, and water clarity has improved by a whopping 52%. In fact, 2022 marked a milestone—phosphorus concentration fell below the target for the first time ever! Yet, it’s important to keep in mind that current drought conditions have led to some spikes in phosphorus levels due to low water levels. Still, the native SAV continues to thrive, which is a heartening sign of resilience.
