Vote Now! Who Will Be Brevard's Top Athlete of the Year?

Edgewood, Florida, USA - In a celebration of athletic excellence, Brevard County high school athletes are in the spotlight as the voting for the 321preps Athlete of the Year kicks off. This year, 33 outstanding athletes were recognized as Athletes of the Week during the school year, showcasing the talent and dedication found in our local schools. With voting now open until noon on Thursday, fans can show their support for their favorites in this exciting competition. The top two from each season will move on to the final round, where the best will be honored.

Allie Brown from Viera Volleyball was a standout, making 41 assists and contributing 11 digs and 2 aces in a thrilling five-set win over Bayside. Aubrey Orcutt of Melbourne Cross Country left her mark by clinching first place at the Indian River Varsity 5K with a time of 20:28.4. And let’s not forget Cayden Sylvester, who bowled a perfect 300 game, showcasing not just skill but pure perfection at Shore Lanes Palm Bay.
Spring Signing Highlights
As the academic year draws to a close, many of our senior athletes are preparing for new chapters in their careers. On May 2, Raeanne Nevad signed to play basketball at Wisconsin Lutheran College, marking another milestone for Merritt Island Christian. Similarly, a host of athletes from Satellite High reached new heights, with Anthony Dicks and Ryan Beirne heading to join the wrestling mats as Braelyn Wahy runs track & field and cross country. Further, Kiera Runske has secured a spot to play lacrosse for Vanderbilt University and represented West Shore proudly.
Among notable signings, J.J. Luethje from Cocoa Beach will compete at Bellarmine, while five athletes from Bayside and 15 from Merritt Island are taking their talents to the next level after signing ceremonies held at their respective schools.
As reported earlier, a total of 27 Brevard County student-athletes signed their official letters of intent on National Signing Day.
