McCoy chose Florida over heavyweight programs like LSU and Texas and has made quite a mark, helping his high school achieve a perfect 14-0 record and securing the Mississippi 6A State Championship. As reported by CBS Sports, he’s ranked as the No. 121 overall prospect and No. 16 defensive lineman in the nation.

Joining McCoy are Marquez Daniel from Tuskegee, Alabama, and Carsyn Baker from Fairburn, Georgia. Daniel, a wide receiver who boasts impressive stats from his high school career, chose Florida over Auburn. In 2024, he recorded 38 receptions for 757 yards and found the end zone 12 times. Baker also comes with stellar credentials, having rushed for 1,282 yards and 13 touchdowns during his junior year, opting for the Gators over offers from Florida State, Ohio State, and South Carolina.

As of now, Florida has secured eight out of their ten commitments for the 2026 class, with their ranking currently sitting at No. 28 nationally and sixth among SEC programs.
