To qualify for a Habitat home, applicants must showcase a genuine necessity for affordable housing, possess low-to-moderate income, and contribute „sweat equity“ hours while completing homeownership education classes. The Bartow project marks a significant step forward, featuring a modern design that utilizes concrete blocks instead of the traditional wood framing, making it the first „block-build“ for this affliate. This new home’s construction is budgeted at approximately $200,000 and is set for completion by the end of 2025.
