Today is the 7th of March, 2026, and our community is mourning the loss of a beloved resident. Virginia Hall, aged 73, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at HCA Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL. Virginia was born on May 10, 1947, in Edison, GA, to Willie Hall and Cora Lee Hall, both of whom have preceded her in death.
Virginia was a lifelong resident of Sanford and was well-known for her warm spirit and community involvement. She attended the Seminole County Public Schools and graduated from Crooms High School. A devoted member of the Morning Glory Baptist Church in Sanford, she was cherished by her church family and friends alike. Virginia’s love for family gatherings earned her the affectionate nickname of the “Candy Lady,” a testament to her sweet nature.
A Life of Dedication and Service
Throughout her career, Virginia exhibited a strong work ethic. She started her professional journey as an assembler at S&H Fabrication before transitioning to a cooking role at the Rescue Child Care Center, where she served until her retirement. Her dedication to her job and the children she cared for left a lasting impact on many lives.
Virginia is survived by her children, Anthony Hall (Niomi) and Tracy Williams, along with her grandchildren, Walter Hopson, Ahmad Hall, and Jalen Hall. She also leaves behind a great-grandson, Kasen Hopson, a special niece and caregiver, Stephanie Hill, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Final Arrangements
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Virginia’s life during her funeral service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2 PM at the St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3724 Main St., Sanford, FL 32771. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 4 PM to 6 PM at A. C. Wynn Funeral Services, Inc., at 1300 Historic Goldsboro Blvd. (13th St.), Sanford, FL. Virginia will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Municipal Cemetery in Sanford, FL. The final arrangements have been entrusted to A. C. Wynn Funeral Services, Inc.
