Get ready, Coral Springs! The Coral Springs Museum of Art is gearing up for a fantastic event on Saturday, March 14, from noon to 4 p.m. This special occasion celebrates Youth Art Month with an expanded version of the monthly Museum Family Day. Families and visitors of all ages are invited to dive into a world of creativity and fun!
At this year’s Museum Family Day, attendees can look forward to a variety of exciting activities. Highlights include guided tours showcasing the latest art exhibitions and hands-on activities such as pottery, character design, zine making, and a thrilling museum-wide scavenger hunt. Music lovers can join in a music circle with Noam Brown, while little ones can enjoy face painting and story time in partnership with the Northwest Regional Library. There’s even a dedicated table for toddlers led by a teaching artist, ensuring that the youngest guests have a memorable experience!
Art Exhibitions and More
Visitors will have the opportunity to view several captivating exhibitions during the event. Among the highlights are the “Empty Walls” fundraiser paintings, “Imitation of Life” by Dario Feal, and “The Home Team” by Lauren Sopourn. Additionally, works from the Broward Superintendent’s Advanced Academics Studio Art Exhibition will be on display, providing a platform for young artists to showcase their talents.
The museum’s art studios will also be open for tours, allowing guests to learn about upcoming educational offerings, including art classes and summer camp opportunities. And don’t forget to treat yourself to some locally made ice cream from Let’s Chill, available for purchase during the event!
Free Admission and Sponsorship
Best of all, admission to the Museum Family Day is completely free! This event is part of the ARTventures program, which takes place once a month on selected Saturdays from 2 to 3 p.m. Each ARTventures session features a guided tour of the current exhibition and a creative activity for the whole family. The event is made possible thanks to the generous support of Funding Arts Broward (FAB!).
