Grieco Automotive Group Launches Supply Drive to Aid Local Students

1300 N. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304 - As summer wanes and students prepare to return to class, community efforts are ramping up to ensure none are left without necessary supplies. The Grieco Automotive Group is leading the charge with a school supply drive that will run from July 21 to August 4, 2025. Aimed at supporting local students, the drive benefits the Broward Education Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing education across Broward County.

Residents are invited to make donations at several Grieco dealerships known for their commitment to community service. The drop-off locations are:

While every donation is appreciated, the focus is on the most-needed items, which include pencils, pens, paper, folders, and backpacks, as well as personal care items and arts and crafts supplies.

Wider Community Support

While Grieco’s initiative is commendable, it’s part of a larger drive by the Broward Education Foundation, which kicked off its annual Back to School Supply Drive on July 14 and extends through August 29, 2025. This year, more than 130,000 students and 12,000 teachers from 195 schools will benefit from the cumulative efforts.

Last year’s drive was a resounding success, raising over $2 million in supplies. Board Chair Dustin Jacobs underscored the significance of community participation, stating that every contribution directly assists children lacking access to basic school materials. The Foundation encourages the public to get involved through various avenues, including adopting a school or hosting a supply drive, whether virtual or in-person.

How to Get Involved

For those looking to help, participation is straightforward. A donation of just $25 can provide one student with a fully stocked backpack. If you’re feeling more generous, a $100 contribution supports a teacher for an entire year. Items like glue sticks, hand sanitizer, and black composition books are particularly in high demand this year.

Supplies can also be delivered directly to the Broward Education Foundation’s School Supply Center at 2300 W. Copans Road, Bay #5, Pompano Beach.
