This initiative officially launched over the weekend with two fantastic, free events that brought the community together in a celebration of culture and sport.
Hosted at the Lauderhill City Hall, the details of the initiative were revealed during a press conference. Lauderhill’s Vice Mayor Richard Campbell emphasized the economic benefits for local residents, highlighting how this event could spark growth and interest in the region. It certainly got off to a lively start, with the Lauderhill Sports Complex buzzing on Saturday night, featuring performances from Dancehall artists Jahshii and Laa Lee. Plus, there was an exciting U-20 international match between Jamaica and Haiti that fans wouldn’t want to miss!

The festivities didn’t stop there. On Sunday at Broward County Stadium, kids aged 3 to 16 were invited to participate in free soccer training—what an incredible opportunity for the youth!
