On June 10, Flagler County deputies arrested 16-year-old Chimale Santiago-Thomas along with two others following a robbery at gunpoint that took place in late May. The situation began on May 29 in the parking lot of European Village, where a teenage boy reported being robbed by Santiago-Thomas and another accomplice. Instead, he became the target when Santiago-Thomas allegedly pointed the gun at his head, demanding not only the firearm but also cash and other belongings. The victim returned home shaken and immediately informed his mother, which set the wheels in motion for what followed.
