Today is the 29th of May, 2026, and if you’re looking for a way to connect with nature and meet some great folks while you’re at it, you might want to check out the Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club. Founded way back in 1975, this vibrant community offers an array of outdoor activities that’ll get you off the couch and into the sun. Whether you’re into kayaking, camping, or even just having a good old-fashioned picnic, this club has something for everyone.

Membership is super affordable, too. Just $20 for individuals or $25 for households! When you sign up, you can pay through Zelle at palmbeachpackandpaddle@gmail.com or use PayPal at this link. Joining opens up a treasure trove of experiences, from canoeing trips to trivia nights. Plus, they throw a Thanksgiving Festival in November and a holiday party in December that’s sure to be a hit.

What You Can Expect

Most events are open to the public, but for some longer trips, you’ll need to be a paid member. And let me tell you, it’s worth it! Paid members get access to a club newsletter, event previews, and exclusive invites to special activities. There are also classes available to help you level up your outdoor skills, plus a membership badge that’s like your golden ticket at meetings.

Speaking of meetings, they happen on the second Saturday of each month from September to May at the Okeeheelee Nature Center in West Palm Beach. Each meeting features guest speakers, raffles, and loads of event information. If you’ve got an itch to get involved, they’re always looking for volunteers to help coordinate events, so don’t be shy about reaching out!

Giving Back to Nature

One of the standout aspects of the Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club is their commitment to conservation. They actively participate in cleanup events and other projects that benefit the community and the environment. Funds raised from various activities help support both the club’s Conservation Fund and local organizations, which is a win-win for everyone involved.
