Adam Goldstein, the visionary founder and CEO of Archer Aviation, believes this innovation will pave the way for smoother and quicker transportation in the region. Say goodbye to those agonizingly long drives of 60 to 90 minutes. With the Midnight aircraft, travelers will experience a swift 5 to 10-minute flight instead.

The Midnight Aircraft

The Midnight aircraft is not just any flying machine; it’s crafted for urban travel. Sporting a sleek silver and black design, it’s piloted and can comfortably seat up to four passengers while zipping along at speeds of 150 miles per hour. It boasts a range of up to 100 miles from its takeoff point, allowing for connectivity across the busy urban landscape.

What sets Midnight apart is its simplicity. It’s designed to be mechanically easier than traditional helicopters, which significantly reduces maintenance needs and ramps up its availability for widespread use. Presently, the aircraft is in the final stages of certification with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A type certificate from the FAA is essential for the launch of operations, both in the United States and abroad.

The FAA is ready to introduce powered-lift aircraft, which represent the first new category of civil aircraft in nearly a century.
