Today is March 10, 2026, and the golfing world turned its eyes to the scenic Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where the 33rd edition of The Hayt Collegiate Tournament was held from March 7 to March 9. This annual event, hosted by the University of North Florida, showcased some of the best collegiate golf teams, as they battled it out over three rounds of stroke play.

The North Florida Men’s Golf Team had a challenging outing, finishing in 11th place with a total score of 885, which is 21 over par. The team’s rounds were 295, 289, and 301, showcasing a mix of ups and downs throughout the tournament. The windy conditions, which included a two-hour delay during the final round, added an extra layer of difficulty for the competitors.

Key Performers

Filippo Serra and Jason Duff were the standout players for North Florida, both finishing at 2 over par with a score of 218, tying for 22nd place. Their consistent play was crucial in keeping the team competitive against a tough field. Danny Erickson, who had earlier shown promise with a 3-under finish in the earlier rounds, concluded the tournament with a score of 223, placing him tied for 51st.
