As the 2025-26 school year kicks off, the excitement is palpable among athletes and fans alike in Lake Worth Beach! The Palm Beach Post has revived its popular “Athlete of the Week” voting, celebrating exceptional high school talent in our area. This year, there’s a new twist—two athletes will be honored each week, one boy and one girl, with separate polls for each. So, get ready to cast your votes!
Last week, Kenneth Wagner from Cardinal Newman made waves in the Cross Country scene, securing third place at the Park Vista Cobras Invite with an impressive time of 17:27.2. Such performances set a high bar for our local athletes as they vie for the coveted title of Athlete of the Week.
