Today is the 5th of March, 2026, and the local community is mourning the loss of a beloved member, Cindy Ann Greathouse, who passed away at the age of 59 on February 24, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas. Born in Denver, Colorado, Cindy was the daughter of Austin and Lee Ann (Boyer) Bowyer, both of whom predeceased her. She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband Hobart “Hoby” Greathouse, several children, and six grandchildren.

Cindy’s life was a tapestry of connections and memories, woven together by her strong faith and dedication to her family. She was a proud graduate of Cassville High School and spent several years working as a paraprofessional at Cassville Elementary School and R.J. Longstreet Elementary School in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida. Her commitment to education and the well-being of children was evident in her work, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives.

Celebration of Life

The funeral service for Cindy will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Viney Creek Cemetery in Golden, Missouri. The ceremony will be led by Pastor J.R. and Vickie Poulson and coordinated by Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to those around her.

In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by her sons Andrew Greathouse (wife Athena) from Shell Knob, Gregory Greathouse from Daytona Beach, and Bob Stott from Cassville. Her daughters include Miranda Greathouse from Mayfield, Kentucky, Sabrina Thompson (husband Jimmy) from Lebanon, Brook Greathouse from Daytona Beach Shores, Beth Greathouse from Shell Knob, and Mia Greathouse from Daytona Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her brother Travis Bowyer (wife Sherri) from Cassville and sister Deb Banzhaf (husband Tom) from Wichita, Kansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
