The Florida women’s golf team is riding high after a spectacular performance at the Gators Invitational held at Mark Bostick Golf Course. Ranked No. 7 nationally, the Gators showcased their dominance by leading the tournament from the very beginning. With a record score of 820 (-20) over 54 holes, Florida set a new program benchmark, beating the previous record by a whopping 15 shots, as WRUF reports. It’s quite an achievement considering this marks their 10th win in the last 11 seasons at this tournament!

The star of the event was Paula Francisco, who clinched her first collegiate individual title with a breathtaking score of 200 (-10). Her rounds included an impressive 68, 65, and 67, leading to breaking a decade-old program record for the lowest 54-hole total. Following two near misses as a runner-up in previous tournaments, she finally got to bask in the winner’s spotlight, finishing five shots clear of the field, as detailed by Amateur Golf.
