In the JUCO softball arena, Gulf Coast State College showcased their strength with a strong performance against Rock Valley, winning the first game 7-2, but the second game ended in a dramatic 5-5 tie. Chipola also found success, dominating Lansing with scores of 8-3 and 10-0 in their matchups. Meanwhile, in JUCO baseball, Gulf Coast edged out Pensacola 5-4, while Chipola fell just short against Tallahassee, losing 6-7.
High School Baseball Highlights
Transitioning to high school baseball, the competition was fierce. Arnold faced Marianna, with Marianna taking the win 5-3. North Bay Haven struggled against Blountstown, with a heavy 2-17 defeat. Other notable scores included Bozeman’s narrow loss to West, and Rocky Bayou falling to Walton 6-9. The standout performance came from Poplar Springs, who were defeated by Bethlehem with a staggering score of 7-17. Altha, however, had an impressive game, blanking Graceville 16-0.
Wewahitchka managed to secure a win against Vernon with a score of 6-3, while Hardin Valley Academy triumphed over Franklin 7-1. In a close match, Laurel Hill lost to Pensacola 13-14, and Chipley bested Union 8-3. John Paul II struggled against Port St. Joe, ending the game with a 0-2 scoreline, while Knoxville Central took down Cottondale 6-3. Paxton suffered a heavy defeat against W.S. Neal, losing 0-10.
High School Softball Results
