Man Fleeing Scene of Fatal Jacksonville Hit-and-Run Still at Large

On the early morning of October 28, 2025, tragedy struck at the intersection of Gold Star Family Parkway and Pecan Park Road when a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred. According to News4Jax, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) is currently searching for the man responsible for the crash, which claimed the life of a 24-year-old driver of a Chevrolet S-10.

The collision happened around 5:54 a.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado, traveling west on Gold Star Family Parkway, made a left turn onto southbound Pecan Park Road, leading to the accident. The driver of the S-10 was hospitalized but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after. Before fleeing the scene on foot, the driver of the Silverado briefly attempted to assist the victim.

Ongoing Investigation

The fleeing suspect is described as being approximately 5’6″, of medium build, with short black hair, and may be in his late 20s to early 30s. A K-9 and drone unit were dispatched by JSO to conduct a thorough search of the vicinity but unfortunately did not locate him.
