Mark your calendars for Friday, March 13, as Apalachee Regional Park transforms into a hub of excitement and skill showcasing the best lineworkers in the state. The event is free for all visitors, making it a perfect outing for families looking for a fun-filled day.
This annual event, which has been celebrating the dedication and expertise of public power lineworkers since 2001, is set to draw around 200 of the state’s finest. Expect to see a series of competitions that will test both the physical and mental strength of the participants. This year, attendees can look forward to both individual and team competitions, as well as two surprise “Mystery Events” announced on the day of the competition. Teams will need to think on their feet and strategize quickly using materials and tools revealed only then.
What to Expect
The competition kicks off an exciting agenda that starts early on March 13. From 8:00 am to noon, field exhibitors will set up, followed by sign-ins for apprentices and journeyman teams from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Don’t miss the Welcome Reception and Vendor Expo later in the evening, which runs from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
The main competition will open to the public on Saturday, March 14, from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, where spectators can witness the incredible skills of the lineworkers firsthand—no ticket required!

With activities like bounce houses and local food stands, there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained. The Kids’ Rodeo offers a fantastic opportunity for younger attendees to get involved, with registration available for kids looking to showcase their budding skills.
