Oh, and here’s a fun fact for you: Veteran-owned small businesses account for a whopping $1 trillion in sales each year. With around 3 million workers employed by these businesses, they play a crucial role in the economy. The SBA’s Office of Veterans Business Development is working hard to ensure that these entrepreneurs have the resources they need to thrive. Their programs, like “Boots to Business” and “Military Spouse Pathway to Business,” have trained over 236,000 individuals since 2013!

Looking Ahead

As we look to the future, get ready for the next National Small Business Week in 2027, set for May 2nd to 8th. And for those interested in veteran entrepreneurship, the 12th National Veterans Small Business Week will be celebrated from November 3rd to 7th this year. Such events aim to expand access to resources and strengthen networks for veterans, active-duty military members, and their families.
