Early on the morning of July 3, 2025, a car accident at the intersection of U.S. Highway 90 and Airway Drive left two individuals injured. According to the Crestview Bulletin, a Crestview teen was driving a Volkswagen Beetle eastbound in the inside lane of U.S. Highway 90 around 9 a.m. The scene quickly became chaotic when a 26-year-old man from Pace, driving a Toyota Corolla northbound on Airway Drive, entered the intersection, directly crossing the path of the Beetle.
The young driver of the Beetle tried to maneuver into the outside lane to avoid the impending collision, but it was too late. The two vehicles collided, leading to a dramatic halt in the intersection. The Beetle ended up facing east in the outer eastbound lane, just past the intersection, while the Corolla straddled both inside and outside lanes, facing west in the eastbound travel lanes.

Emergency responders transported both drivers and all passengers from the vehicles to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The report specifies that the Pace man sustained serious injuries but was stabilized at the hospital. However, no names or specific numbers regarding passengers were disclosed in the news release.
