The excitement is building in Everglades City as the annual Turkey Shoot, organized by the Lions Club of Everglades City, is just around the corner! Scheduled for March 21-22, 2026, this event promises to be the biggest gathering of the year, drawing in families and community members to participate in a fun and competitive atmosphere. The shoot will take place at Mayberry’s Cypress Tower Camp, located at 18101 Cypress Tower Road, Ochopee.
This year’s Turkey Shoot will feature shotgun events using paper targets—rest assured, no birds will be harmed. Participants will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including raffle tickets for gift certificates and door prizes. Each shot fired is part of a 50-50 raffle, where the winner takes home half the pot while the other half benefits the Lions Foundation of Everglades. The competition will be judged by the closest shot to the center of the target, ensuring fairness and excitement.
