11751 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Carrollwood, FL, USA - Peterbrooke Chocolatier has made a sweet move! After years of delighting chocolate lovers in downtown Tampa, the beloved chocolatier has relocated to Carrollwood, opening its doors at 11751 N. Dale Mabry Highway on June 1. Owned by the dynamic mother-daughter duo, Jennifer Hill and Sydney Morton, this new locale is not only more accessible but also the only chocolatier in Carrollwood. A refreshing change, don’t you think?

In their new home, Peterbrooke Chocolatier continues to whip up heavenly treats daily, including chocolate-drizzled popcorn, custom chocolate bars, and even gelato. Morton, who honed her skills at the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, is dedicated to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, such as strawberries from nearby Plant City. There’s something to be said for supporting local farms while creating magic in the kitchen!

What’s on the Menu?

With the inspiration of creativity and customization at the forefront, the new location offers an exciting range of products. Specialty items include eye-catching chocolate bars adorned with unique designs and hollow chocolate footballs filled with popcorn. It’s not just about the classics; Morton is also tapping into trendy flavors, crafting Dubai bars filled with kataifi pastry, pistachio cream, and tahini—an Instagram-worthy treat! So, if you’re seeking something special, Peterbrooke has you covered.

But it’s not all about indulgence; the chocolaterie is well aware of changing consumer behaviors. As the love for chocolate persists, challenges around sustainable food production are surfacing. A recent report indicates that the U.S. chocolate market is estimated to be worth $23.21 billion, with expectations for growth as more consumers demand premium and artisanal offerings (Statista).

The Growing Chocolate Market

Indeed, Americans are chocolate fanatics! The average person consumed around 3.7 kilograms of chocolate in 2024, which has steadily been increasing. So, with the U.S. being a leading global market for confectionery—tied with China—the appetite for chocolate shows no signs of waning. While giants like Hershey and Mars dominate the industry, there’s a burgeoning interest in boutique chocolatiers like Peterbrooke. And if you thought it couldn’t get any more interesting, the shift toward dark chocolate and healthier alternatives is noteworthy. According to market insights, the dark chocolate segment is forecasted to grow at about 6% from 2024-2029 (Mordor Intelligence).

As Peterbrooke looks to the future, they also plan to engage the community with fun events, such as sip-and-dip parties and educational field trips. This is a chocolatier that knows how to do a good deal of community outreach while tantalizing taste buds. And if you visit on Wednesdays in July, don’t miss out on their special—a complimentary scoop of gelato!

Peterbrooke Chocolatier in Carrollwood is open daily, making it easy to satisfy your chocolate cravings. With store hours starting at 10 a.m. and noon on Sundays, there’s plenty of time to indulge. So why not stop by and explore their delightful offerings? After all, who doesn’t need a little more chocolate in their life?
