Today, July 4, 2026, Cape Coral is buzzing with excitement as the city gears up for its biggest bash of the year—the Red, White, and Boom event! Hosted by the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department, this celebration is not just any ordinary event; it’s the largest single-day event in Southwest Florida, and it’s absolutely free for all attendees!

The festivities kick off at 5 PM and run until 10 PM, and guess what? It doesn’t matter if Mother Nature decides to join the party—this event happens rain or shine! Located right at Cape Coral Parkway, at the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge, you can expect a fantastic atmosphere filled with national entertainment, family-friendly activities, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display that promises to be the biggest in the region, perfectly synchronized with music!

Get Ready for a Star-Studded Celebration!

As part of the celebration, the “Raise the Flag” event will be integrated into the festivities. This fundraiser aims to erect the tallest freestanding American flagpole in Florida, standing at an impressive 250 feet! Can you imagine that? It’s a sight you won’t want to miss! The main act, country artist Chris Lane, will take the stage at 8 PM, followed by the fireworks show at 9:30 PM. And before that, get ready to groove with the Rosada Project at 5 PM, and DJ Sinister spinning tracks at 6:30 PM!

With so much going on, you might want to grab a bite to eat before the fireworks start. The Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina is hosting a Fourth of July Bash from 4 PM to 11 PM—perfect for fueling up for the night’s excitement! But keep in mind, there are some important safety regulations in place: no pets, no fireworks, and no outside alcohol are allowed. Safety first, right?

Community Spirit and Celebrations

This year, the Red, White, and Boom event holds even more significance as it celebrates America’s 250th birthday! It’s a time to reflect on the nation’s history and honor the flag that represents it all. The Cape Coral Museum of History is also getting in on the action with their exhibition titled “Salute to America — 250th Anniversary,” showcasing photos of American flags from the community and highlighting ten significant events in U.S. history. The exhibition will be running until the end of the year, so if you’re curious, check it out!

With so much to see and do, Red, White, and Boom is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration for families and friends alike. Whether you’re enjoying the food, tapping your toes to the music, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, this event promises to be a highlight of the summer in Cape Coral. So gather your loved ones and get ready to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave!
