Attention, book lovers and community supporters! The Friends of the Safety Harbor Public Library are gearing up for an exciting opportunity to enhance our local library resources and programs. Starting today, the public is encouraged to donate books, puzzles, games, CDs, DVDs, and magazines for upcoming sales. This is a wonderful chance to declutter your shelves while supporting a great cause.
Volunteers are ready to assist you by picking up donations right from your vehicle at the curbside. To ensure a smooth drop-off, simply follow the signs and stop at the flagpole in front of the double doors of the library. Don’t forget, donation receipts are available for your records. It’s advisable to pack your items in boxes or bags, and there’s no limit to the number of items you can donate! Please ensure that your donations are in good condition; however, be aware that certain items cannot be accepted. These include:
- Items from attics or garages
- Damaged books (broken bindings, missing pages, soiled, musty, moldy, with smoke or water damage, or with excessive handwritten notes)
- Outdated materials (cassettes or VHS tapes)
- Textbooks, outdated computer manuals, or encyclopedias
