Thankfully, Cyndi and her brother Steve Newberne, who grew up working in the family restaurant, decided against closing its doors for good. Instead, they rolled up their sleeves and tackled the mess head-on, removing soaked carpeting, purchasing new tables, and replacing damaged kitchen gear.
