Today is the 5th of May, 2026, and Oldsmar is buzzing with excitement! This evening at 7:00 PM, the Oldsmar City Council will hold its city meeting at 101 State Street West, 2nd Floor. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry! The meeting will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, so you can join in from the comfort of your home.

During the meeting, residents have the opportunity to voice their opinions during the public forum, with each speaker allowed five minutes to share their thoughts. It’s a great chance to connect with local leaders and discuss community issues that matter to you!

What’s on the Agenda?

Tonight’s agenda is packed with interesting items. There will be several presentations and proclamations, including the winners of the “Drop Savers” poster contest—always a fun highlight! Additionally, the city will recognize the business of the quarter and proclaim National Drinking Water Week, the week of Professional City Managers, and National Day of Prayer. These acknowledgments really showcase the spirit of our community!

Another key topic will be the review of the updated conceptual plan for the City Hall site, submitted by the Stanbery Development Group. It’s an important step in shaping our city’s future and ensuring that our public spaces meet the needs of residents.

Resolutions and Decisions

There are several resolutions set for adoption, including Res 2026-08, which establishes the candidate qualification period for the municipal election in March 2027, and Res 2026-06, which proposes to cease the allocation of one-tenth of a mill to the public safety fund. Also on the table is a proposal to amend the Industrial Planned Development Plan at 4021 Tampa Rd to allow limited manufacturing within part of the existing building—definitely something to keep an eye on!
